The Blériot XI was largely designed by Raymond Saulnier who revolutionized the rules of aeronautical design of the time thanks to a structure of ash partially covered with canvas and a landing gear consisting of bicycle wheels at the front and a small tail wheel.

July 25, 1909, Louis Blériot enters the legend of the History of aviation with the first successful flight of the crossing of the Channel.
